A team Zoom meeting was held on Dec. 13th to help shape the semi-final version of the team's 2023 program. Further planning was done to make sure that the two teams (now called Liberty Waves and One Gorgeous Boat) have separate and distinct programs. These two teams will do a lot together socially and back each other up when needed at practices and regattas.
Who we are
As a LGBTQ2+ community-based dragon boat team, we aim at providing a social and fitness-focused sporting outlet for the gay and lesbian community, as well as their friends, family and supporters.
Our team reflects the following core values:
- Committed - members are expected adhere to regular attendance, baseline level of fitness, and the pursuit of technical excellence.
- Community-Facing - members strive to be positive ambassadors for, and representatives of LGBTQ2IAS+ paddlers towards the greater dragon boat /paddling community and public.
- Supportive - members are expected to be good teammates and engage in teamwork to foster a positive environment at all times.
- Goal-Oriented - members are expected to understand and adhere to the goals set (through consensus) by the team so as to further develop within the team, as improve team performance.

Team registration is OPEN. Interested members, with or without experience, and invited to sign up on a first-come-first-served basis to a total of 23 members.

Payment Plan option: Two part payments: #1 $245 between Jan 1 and April 1, and #2 $150 due by July 1.
