
NEWS (June 15, 2026): The We Will Rock You team is preparing for their first race day of the summer, which is the Mississauga Dragon Boat Regatta on Saturday, June 20th. The leaderership group for this team consist of Captains Kelly Ziger, Aleks Tarver, and Osha Obulampalli, as well as Howard Postma, and coach Catherine MacInnes, and manager Tim MacFarlane.
This dragon boat team was formed in 2022, and we are excited to be heading into our 5th year in 2026. Both experienced and new paddlers are very welcome to join us. ANYONE can participate in this inclusive sport, and the Rusty Dragons make it a rewarding and fun experience for all.
Coach Catherine is not only a great coach but also has a long resume of dragon boat achievements, including serving as a race official at large festivals.

We practice once a week from May 5 to Sept 15 and participate in 2 regattas.

The use of club paddles and life jackets is included, but you are welcome to use your own too.
Saturday, June 20th at the Mississauga Canoe Club (MCC) by the Humber River. This event is run by MCC and supplied by GWN.
Saturday, September 19th at Lake Victoria in Stratford. This event is run by Stratford Rotary and supplied by GWN.

**Note: The $474 fee is due upon registration or before the first practice. An option is two-part payments: #1 $284 (60%) by March 31, and the remaining $200 due by June 30 (40% + $10). We do appreciate those who can pay the full amount early.
