Jim Farintosh announced the 2nd Pickering Race Camp will run from May 26 to June 1. Jim has engaged Alkame for admin support this year.
We are excited to form a collective team of paddlers from all over North America to come together for this second race camp in Pickering, Ontario (Frenchmans Bay). This opportunity is open to anyone at the Rusty Dragons or our friends in other Canadian and American cities.
- Twice-daily training sessions on the water (Monday to Friday) with a top coach assigned to us (from Canada, USA, or abroad).
- There will likely be about 3 to 3.5 hours of paddling per day. This usually includes a 30 minute daily extra help session.
- A few video review sessions are usually included (on water paddling taped from a motor boat, and reviewed later at an indoor facility).
- INCLUDES racing at the Pickering Dragon Boat Challenge on Saturday June 1.
- The cost of the camp is $598.90 CAD / $480.25 USD (includes taxes) and this would be paid directly to Alkame.
Training at a dragon boat camp is a truly amazing and rewarding experience. You'll be getting great coaching and significant time on the water that will build your skills to the next level very quickly. You'll also make new friends and connections to paddlers in other teams, cities, and countries. For those who've been to camp before - you know - we're addicted to boats! Those new to dragon boat racing and/or to camp who are thinking about it, this camp is great for you! Don't hesitate - just do it! Many new doors may open to you!
