The Rusty Dragons run a weekly group lottery pool since 2021 for interested paddlers. Paddlers contribute $2 per week only and the pooled money goes into OLG LottoMax or Lotto 6/49 tickets each week. Tickets are bought online weekly and sent to pool members in advance of each draw.
Winnings under $150 and free tickets immediately go into tickets for subsequent draws as bonus tickets.
This pool has a unique angle though in that a small percentage of any winnings over $150 includes a club contribution >> 2% with a $200,000 cap. This will be used in support of our plan to purchase boats, equipment, storage, etc. As an example, if there was a $40,000,000 jackpot won and there were 20 members, then 2% ($800,000, but capped at $200,000) goes to the club and the remaining $39,800,000 is divided equally among the 20 members, which is $1,990,000 each. This demonstrates that members are the real beneficiaries of the pool.
To join the pool, click on the "JOIN LOTTO POOL" button below and complete the corresponding Survey Monkey form. Pool members seed their "account" with money (suggested $25-$50) from which $2 per week is drawn down. Members are then responsible to top-up their account before it hits $0.
Payments are preferred via Interac to "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it." which is auto-deposit. Contact us as detailed below if you prefer another payment method. Members may drop out at any time and receive a full refund of any remaining credit balance they have.
Participants must be eligible to purchase lottery tickets as per OLG rules (18+, etc). This includes that members must be Canadian citizens (or dual citizenship with another country) as per Ontario Lottery Group rules..
For privacy, members of the pool are not listed here. Pool members will know who is in the pool via their weekly emails with tickets and member lists attached.
